Bonus distribution will also include selected GSA Regional Meetings throughout the year. Each spring and fall, an issue of Geotimes is distributed to various geoscientists in the disciplines as part of AGI's outreach to the community. This usually means a print run of about 50,000 copies. Advertising rates will vary for these issues and said rates will be posted 60 days in advance on this web site.

We prefer flattened images with fonts embedded or at least the fonts must be included as attachments.
AGI DOES NOT ACCEPT MAC FILES OF ANY KIND.

ADVERTISING INSERTION DEADLINES FOR 2008

Space reservations for Geotimes need to be made no later than the first of the month prior to the issue you desire and display materials must be in our hands by the seventh. For example, an ad in the SEPTEMBER issue needs to be reserved no later than August 1 and the art must arrive by August 7. Text for classifieds ads is due upon reservation.

INSERTS, FLYERS, ETC.

Advertisers may also wish to insert a catalog, flyer or CD in an issue of Geotimes. For a few thousand dollars your organization can include your catalog of publications or products in a mailing of Geotimes in the U.S. and Canada. Contact Marketing at jr@agiweb.org for more details.

GEOSCIENCE PUBLICATIONS & SERVICES CATALOG

Each fall, AGI publishes a "Geosciences Publications & Services Catalog" featuring our extensive line of geoscientific publications and services as well as those of some of our member societies. We mail the catalog to 50,000 scientists belonging to our various 44 societies in November. If you would like to help sponsor this and appear in the form of a half page or full page advertisement, e-mail jr@agiweb.org for details. We distribute another 8,000 catalogs during the year. It's a very cost-effective way to reach the community.

THE DIRECTORY OF GEOSCIENCE DEPARTMENTS

Each January, AGI publishes the Directory of Geoscience Departments, a must-have directory for anyone in the geosciences. The Directory contains information on over 1,000 U.S., Canadian and Mexican departments of geoscience, including addresses, phone/fax numbers, e-mail addresses, degrees offered and field-camp information. In addition, more than 15,000 faculty are indentified by rank. The Directory is a great place to advertise your geoscientific programs or products, as it is a useful reference tool seen all year long. Contact AGI Marketing at jr@agiweb.org for details.
